The Fancy Pants Adventures

A game by Brad Borne and Over The Top Games for PS3 and Xbox 360, originally released in 2011.
Fancy Pants Man makes his console debut in The Fancy Pants Adventures, but you may already know this stick figure (and his fancy pants) from his previous free-to-play Flash-based adventures. But even if you’ve spent some time with those, you’ll be pleased to know that Fancy Pants Man has a few new tricks up his sleeves… er, pants… this time around, with a bigger and more detailed world to explore, new enemies, a new set of moves, and new challenges to overcome. But before we get into that, let’s talk about the origins of this acrobatic doodle and how he made the sliding-dash-jump to consoles.

Shank

A game by Klei Entertainment for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, originally released in 2010.
Shank is a 2D sidescrolling action game in which the player controls Shank, a muscle-bound, bandanna-wearing, chainsaw-wielding badass who has come to lay down vengeance Desperado-style on a slew of deserving baddies. It seems that some unsavory characters betrayed him and killed the woman he loved, and Shank must kill his way to the top, taking down the lynchpins one by one in this stylish over-the-top brawler.

Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure

A game by EA Tiburon for DS, originally released in 2009.

CONTEXT
Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure was released in 2009 for the DS by Electronic Arts’ Orlando-based studio EA Tiburon, under their EA Casual label. This is an original 2D side-scrolling fantasy action/platformer in which the player controls an aged explorer, Henry Hatsworth, who is searching for the pieces of a legendary golden suit. This game is also a block-switching puzzle game where the player lines up any 3 of the same color blocks horizontally or vertically to make them disappear. Gameplay spans both elements and each works in tandem with the other.
